 Dan Mulvaney
Since Dan began as an agent for Sunbelt in 2004 he has been the Midwest Region’s top producer and has won “Broker of the Year” in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Dan has transacted over $200 million of business sales, purchases and financings throughout his career.
Dan is a CPA (inactive) with an accounting degree from St. John’s University in Minnesota and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. His twenty years of corporate experience as COO and CFO at middle market companies, as controller of an $800 million division of a Fortune 100, and public accounting has provided an in-depth understanding of markets, business models, profitability drivers and the sharp edge of risk.
Financial and operational experience allows Dan to better understand a Seller’s business, to advise on critical decision-points and to position the business in the marketplace. He effectively communicates his clients’ value drivers, an essential component in maximizing price and terms.
Work for public companies and multiple Board seats at privately-held businesses gives Dan the knowledge of how Buyers target acquisitions, their internal approval processes, and acceptable transaction structures. Buyers appreciate his ability to provide them what they want: relevant information delivered in a timely manner.
